Vincent: I have no fear of death. It just means dreaming in silence. A dream that lasts for eternity.

Spike: [sarcastically] You're an original, aren't you?

Vincent: No one can draw a clear line between sane and insane. You move that line as you see fit for yourself. No one else can. You'll understand soon... that the one that's insane is this world. Do you want to come with me?

Faye:
Da*n it! Moro** don't learn until they die!

Swimming Bird: This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.

Vincent:
Is there an indelible line dividing sanity from insanity... Or do they change, one into the other at the slightest change of events? We'll find out soon enough. If the world itself is insane.

Vincent:
Of the days that I have lived, only those I spent with you seemed real.

....you become a lovely dear honey, mother, sister, brother and friend.
I become aware of the compromises and sacrifices you make, I may not agree, but I'll patiently understand your reasoning.
I feel your sadness, your glee, your frustrations and anger.
As much as I feel them, I can't solve them for you as God gave you your own mind, heart and hands to think and act for yourself on your feet.
I'll laugh with you during moments when we think we're still talking about the same thing, but we aren't and somehow got disconnected into our wee worlds in the minutes that you need it most as you need to unwind and take a breather.

My frailties are your strengths and your hidden gentle heart is my susceptibility.
I'll assist you and do many things for you and risk my world, even though I can't do everything for you.
When you risk your heart to open your trust, I'll allow it to draw my guard down for you to hold and request for you to hold it securely and treat it well.
Wishing you a beautiful week merry men and women.

I'm almost finish, 1 completed 3 to go and got on the waiting list of another post.
Kinda looking forward to the celebrations. Wish I could've made it to India, but it wasn't mean to be as it's the same date as another event. What will be, will be. At least hoping I can return the favour for Bessie and take her to salsa invite I got. Would love her to come along.

Dear friend,

Good to hear from you out from the shadows.

Should you feel alone and melancholic you need not hide. It's worth sharing how you're truly feeling inside. Many have been down and out once at least in our lifetime. When everything seem dim and problems are looming to bring an end to the life we know of as of now. It's tiring to stay focused and the darkness isn't clearing up anytime soon. There's always peeps here to chat with, lean on and reach out to and love you for you. I sense your inner strength is faltering and another day will pass to renew you once more.

You're a woman of success who has lived well, laughed often,
and loved much; who has gained the respect of intelligent
men and the love of children; who has filled her niche
and accomplished his task; who leaves the world better
than he found it, .....or a rescued soul; who never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty or failed to express it; who looked for the best in others and gave the best he had....Proverbs 15:1.

I caught a glimpse of this promising cute 11 year old British girl (maybe better than Charice singing her own version of this popular Miley's perhaps best song I thought of singing this for you. Watch out for her.
Hope you'd fun today during the fiesta and siestas.
Enjoy the lighter notes of your days.

I can almost see it
That dream I am dreaming
But there's a voice inside my head saying
"You'll never reach it"

Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking

But I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on

'Cause there's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!

Keep on moving, keep climbing
Keep the faith, baby
It's all about, it's all about the climb
Keep the faith, keep your faith, whoa

Bachelors & Bachelorettes May 5, 2012 6:46 pm

Most of the party of strangers to me in the bachelorette party are married or have been married already. It was the meet and greet night, before the wedding. One of the ladies owns a traditional sweet shop and prepared a bag for each person to enjoy and take home. Looking forward to seeing them once more.

I was one of the young unmarried carefree girls without kids and didn't drink what they drank, though it didn't make a huge difference and didn't set me apart as we treated each other the same fairly with respect as a fellow womankind. No one forced anyone to do what the others want to do or made them feel out of place. We remained harmless and only harmful to ourselves.

It was a good hen night for women to cluck, to share the loss of trying for babies and having them younger is better, vent about family, work and men in a jovial way, but conclude they love them any way regardless of what they do. We'd a laugh at ourselves and others amongst ourselves, let our hairs down, be silly and remotely durtey. Some got carried away with the wine and Alco (already been there and done it and not in a rush to drown). Had a lovely dinner of duck with curry salad for starters to share with Bessie and seafood and cheesy mash and cauliflower and plenty of veggies as mains and she'd her first Eton mess as a dessert as she always wanted to try it.

Such a contrast to the men who reverted to being boys. A few of the veteran drinkers get too carried away even more as if it was their usual night out that they turn into bullies and start picking a fight with the odd one out, which dismally happened to be my better half. Drink can bring out the worst of what's already there. Much like the women, men vented too about women, but more seriously ranting about how women need controlled and be bent over to teach them a lesson.

Drinking is very much ingrained into the society to the point that one is regarded as a freak of nature, a weirdo if you don't drink alco and don't do what they want and don't look the way they think everyone should. It astounds me how few men can be bitchy and judgmental, which is more characteristic of women.
If that Richard speaks out of turn on the wedding day again, he'll hear me alright.

Men and women can coax forcefully to do something that they don't normally do. Such nights, a stag and hen night like this gives bride and groom to be, as some would say the last day to celebate their freedom to do whatever the hell they wish. Some literally took this opportune moment and have that extra fling. The beginning of the cracks into a new marriage.

Is it success or failure? Apr 19, 2012 8:28 am

For your beady eyes only.

How would you measure your success?

A baby crawls before s/he can take her first steps. A child needs to take risks on sometimes with or without guidance. For a child to understand the gravity of danger, he must experience it for himself. For a child to learn more, s/he must learn through trial and errors. This builds on confidence, independence and resilience. To make errors and fail at something or in a few cases, feeling like a failure is part of life.

Do you count getting hitched many times as successful or a failure for losing those relationships?

How many days, months or years before you could count it as a successful relationship?
With the short expiration days of famous people getting married and being in and out of several relationships, it makes us wonder when is long, long enough or when it's too short.

Is moving on a blessing in disguise?

Failure is a stepping stone to success. I can't imagine anyone who hasn't made a mistake or had to try again. Fear of failure and rejection is what makes us freeze in the one spot. Instead, let's celebrate and reward ourselves for any failures as many failures is one step closer to success.

Obsession with perfection may make one avoid failure. The more creative you are, the more errors you're going to make. Get used to it.

As the saying goes: Use it, or lose it. Use and develop your "courage muscle" by looking fear in the eye and taking action anyway. Each time you take action and exercise it, the courage muscle gets stronger.

What counts is whether we turn our failures into a positive or a negative action. There are few men who led a disappointing life and gave themselves a horrific purpose to slaughter men and women. What good will that bring, only to give themselves glory?

“Success and failure are both difficult to endure. Along with success come drugs, divorce, fornication, bullying, travel, meditation, medication, depression, neurosis and suicide. With failure comes failure.”

Sometimes Bessie and I are outnumbered by the guys in our circle, unless they're with their female halves then we have plenty of laughs, mischief and dirty giggles. Having a go at poking fun of men as they sometimes do the same. In between the lines of kidding around and not being serious, there's a bit of truth in it.

Why do men like love at first sight? It saves them a lot of time.

Why do black widow spiders kill their males after mating? To stop the snoring before it starts. (Sleep first before he does)

Why don't men have mid-life crises? They stay stuck in adolescence.

Why is sleeping with a man like a soap opera? Just when it's getting interesting, they're finished until next time. (I honestly I love to sleep afterwards, it's the best sleep ever)

Why do men name their poles? Because they want to be on a first-name basis with the one who makes all their decisions. (Any man here willing to admit they name it One Eyed William?)

Husband: I don't know why you wear a bra; you've got nothing to put in it. (only if your partner is nasty)
Wife: You wear briefs, don't you?

What is a man's definition of safe seks? A padded headboard.

What is the thinnest book in the world? "What men know about women."

What is the thickest book in the world? "What Men Think They Know About Women"

What is a man's idea of helping with housework? Lifting his leg so you can vacuum.

Why are men like laxatives? They can irritate the $**t out of you.

What do you instantly know about a well-dressed man? His wife is good at picking out clothes.

What's the difference between a man and a messy room? You can straighten up a messy room.

Men come in three sizes: Small, medium, and OOoohhh yesss!

Men do too get PMS: Pen_!s Malfunction Syndrome, Pre-Middle aged Syndrome and Post Macho Syndrome.

When is the only time you can change a man? When he's a baby.

Men are like.....Mini skirts. If you're not careful, they'll creep up your legs. (if he's a perve)

Matel is coming out with a talking Barbie. They say it was easy to get Barbie to talk. The problem was getting Ken to listen.

Why are men so happy? Because ignorance is bliss.

Why don't women blink during 4-play? They don't have time.

What is the most intelligent thing a man can say? .... yes dear.

What would men do if they had br-3asts? They'd stay at home and play with them all day.

Man: Why do you women always try to impress us with your looks, not with your brains? Woman: Because there is a bigger chance that a man is a m0-ron than he is blind

The Empty Nest Egg Apr 6, 2012 5:55 am

The church had a teddy bear picnic last Easter. This Easter it's egg hunting. Tomorrow I'll hopefully be safely landing on my feet after dangling from a cliff and not fall. Wish me luck!

Forgive me and thanks for saving everyone.

An Easter to share:

Jeremy was born with a twisted body and a slow mind.

At the age of 12 he was still in second grade, seemingly unable to learn. His teacher, Doris Miller, often became exasperated with him. He would squirm in his seat, drool, and make grunting noises.

Other times, he spoke clearly and distinctly, as if a spot of light had penetrated the darkness of his brain.

Most of the time, however, Jeremy just irritated his teacher.

One day she called his parents and asked them to come in for a consultation. As the Forresters entered the empty classroom, Doris said to them, "Jeremy really belongs in a special school. It isn't fair to him to be with younger children who don't have learning problems. Why, there is a 5 year gap between his age and that of the other students?"

Mrs. Forrester cried softly into a tissue, while her husband spoke. "Miss Miller," he said, "there is no school of that kind nearby. It would be a terrible shock for Jeremy if we had to take him out of this school. We know he really likes it here." Doris sat for a long time after they had left, staring at the snow outside the window. Its coldness seemed to seep into her soul. She wanted to sympathize with the Forresters. After all, their only child had a terminal illness. But it wasn't fair to keep him in her class. She had 18 other youngsters to teach, and Jeremy was a distraction. Furthermore, he would never learn to read and write. Why waste any more time trying?

As she pondered the situation, guilt washed over her. Here I am complaining when my problems are nothing compared to that poor family, she thought. Lord, please help me to be more patient with Jeremy.

From that day on, she tried hard to ignore Jeremy's noises and his blank stares. Then one day, he limped to her desk, dragging his bad leg behind him.

"I love you, Miss Miller," he exclaimed, loud enough for the whole class to hear. The other students snickered, and Doris' face turned red. She stammered ... "Wh-why that's very nice, Jeremy. N-now please take your seat."

Spring came, and the children talked excitedly about the coming of Easter. Doris told them the story of Jesus, and then to emphasize the idea of new life springing forth, she gave each of the children a large plastic egg. "Now," she said to them, "I want you to take this home and bring it back tomorrow with something inside that shows new life. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Miss Miller," the children responded enthusiastically ... all except for Jeremy. He listened intently; his eyes never left her face. He did not even make his usual noises. Had he understood what she had said about Jesus' death and resurrection? Did he understand the assignment? Perhaps she should call his parents and explain the project to them.

That evening, Doris' kitchen sink stopped up. She called the landlord and waited an hour for him to come by and unclog it. After that, she still had to shop for groceries, iron a blouse, and prepare a vocabulary test for the next day. She completely forgot about phoning Jeremy's parents.

The next morning, 19 children came to school, laughing and talking as they placed their eggs in the large wicker basket on Miss Miller's desk.
Empty Easter Eggs
After they completed their maths lesson, it was time to open the eggs. In the first egg, Doris found a flower.
Easter Flowers
"Oh yes, a flower is certainly a sign of new life," she said.
"When plants peek through the ground, we know that spring is here."

A small girl in the first row waved her arm.
"That's my egg, Miss Miller," she called out.
The next egg contained a plastic butterfly which looked very real.
Easter Story Butterfly
Doris held it up. "We all know that a caterpillar changes and grows into a beautiful butterfly.
Yes, that's new life, too."
Little Judy smiled proudly and said,
"Miss Miller, that one is mine."

Next, Doris found a rock with moss on it. She explained that moss, too, showed life.

Billy spoke up from the back of the classroom "My daddy
helped me," he beamed.

Then Doris opened the fourth egg.
She gasped. The egg was empty.
Empty Egg
Surely it must be Jeremy's she thought, and of course, he did not understand her instructions. If only she had not forgotten to phone his parents. Because she did not want to embarrass him,
she quietly set the egg aside and reached for another.
Suddenly, Jeremy spoke up.
"Miss Miller, aren't you going to talk about my egg?"
Flustered, Doris replied, "But Jeremy, your egg is empty."
He looked into her eyes and said softly ...
"Yes, but Jesus' tomb was empty, too."
Purple and Yellow Empty Eggs
Time stopped.
When she could speak again, Doris asked him,
"Do you know why the tomb was empty?"
"Oh, yes," Jeremy said, "Jesus was killed and put in there.
Then His Father raised Him up."

The recess bell rang.
While the children excitedly ran out to the school yard ...
Doris cried.
The cold inside her melted completely away.

3 months later, Jeremy died.
Those who paid their respects at the mortuary were surprised to see 19 eggs on top of his casket ... all of them empty.
