when you're so near?
But how will you get near,
when you can't master the fear?

when your goal is to say "Yes"?
But will you say "Yes",
if it's not for the best?
How will you stop,
when you hate ending this?
But is there a need to end it,
if you've got everything to risk?
How will you go on,
if one false move could end it all?
But will you think about the end,
if you've reached your goal?
How will you give in,
if you can't trust?
But why you should trust,
if you couldn't see through the dust?
How will you let go,
if you all want is to hold on?
But why must you hold on,
if you've got no reason?
How will you fall in love,
without a single stumble?
But is there a need to stumble,
when all you have to do is fall?
How will you fall in love,
when you're afraid to try?
But why you should try,
if you know that you'll just cry?
How will I say "I love you"
when I can't find any reason?
But will reasons be important,
if to you my heart belongs???

Out of all the lies I have heard,
"I love you" was my favorite.
Somewhere in between,
all the mind games,
lies, and seduction,
I fell for you.
Somewhere in between
all the broken promises,
manipulation, and heartaches,
I got over you.
But, i guess, i fibbed a few times too.
Remember all those times
i swore i needed you?
Well, consider them lies,

simpleng buhay, payapa at panatag.
Nakatanggap ako ng sulat mula sa amin,
Nakalarawan doon ang maraming kong alaala.
At bigla akong lumuha dahil ako'y sabik na,
Sa lalawigan kong minumutya.
Naghihintay pa rin ang irog ko doon sa amin,
Mga magulang nama'y nag-aalala sa akin.
O, masilayan ko man lamang bundok, parang at batis,
Gumagaan ang hirap ko at pasakit.

Ang hirap siguro maging langaw ano?
Eh ang maging kalabaw?
Minsan ang hirap hanapan ng tamang perspektibo
ang mga katagang tulad neto.
Kasi maraming possibleng ibig sabihin ito.
Puno ng pag-aalinlangan kung tama ba,
mali ba, sobra ba o kulang ba
ang pagbibigay interpretasyon sa mga tulad nito.
Pwede rin kasi itong manggaling
sa isang kapwa langaw niya na naiinggit lang
at nais rin maabot ang ganoong estado.
Maari rin sa isang concerned citizen
na langaw na nakakapansin.
Pwede rin naman sa kalabaw na tinutung-tungan
at walang malay na tini-take advantage siya.
O di kaya sa kanya mismo,
na minsan lang makalasap ng makarating sa itaas
ay siya namang tindi ng pagyurak sa mga nasa ibaba.
May mga dapat unawain at may mga hindi.
Uy, uy, uy! Matuto kang gumalang
Magpakumbaba at sa lupa'y
panatilihing nakaapak
ang talampakan.
Baka tisurin ka ng Panginoon
At mukha'y masubsob
at lamunin ang putik na iyong pinagmulan.
Wag maging halimbawa ng langaw
na nakatuntong sa kalabaw,
nagmamataas at mayabang pero ang totoo'y
wala namang bilang at laman.
